Back to The Bay of Islands!

The Strait Shooters are thrilled to be back at the Bay of Islands Jazz & Blues Festival for 2021. August 13th - 15th promises to be a great weekend as we join many other great acts to deliver a weekend of good sounds, good times, and great entertainment.

As always the band is led by Ramblin Rick Stringer on keys, vocals and harmonica, along with fellow Strait Shooter Warwick 'Electrolux' Murray on lead guitar, vocals and harmonica. You can expect to hear the odd harmonica duel. Rick's wife Lee adds her vocal prowess on lead and backing vocals, while the engine room features Stafford Murray on bass, and Neil Williamson on drums.

The sets will include a good mix of Warwick and Rick's originals from their respective first 2 albums (both albums featured in the NZ Top 20), along with some new original songs bound for their next album. They'll also play some songs from their favourite artists including Joe Bonamassa, Tedeschi Trucks, Mingo Fishtrap, Acantha Lang and Janiva Magness.
