The Challenge

Since the 1st Europeans arrived in Aotearoa (the land of the long white cloud) in the 18th century, Maori have welcomed visitors with a fierce challenge followed by the spine tingling wail of the Karanga or ancient call of the ancestors.

The Welcome

The Hongi, or gentle pressing of noses, signifies the joining together of the breath of life of two groups or people into one bond of friendship.

The Show

The formalities now over, we entertain you with traditional items of song, dance and actions. We also invite 'volunteers' to join us for interactive items of group participation.

We will tailor our group size, program and
timing to suit your specific needs.
